I took the recipe from the Good food 101 chocolate treats but I adjusted it slightly. So the flapjacks have cinnamon, raisins and chocolate chips inside plus melted dark chocolate on the top. They came out really nice and are still chewy today which is a good sign. It's been a while since I last made flapjacks but I'm not disappointed!

Flapjacks
Last night I was in the mood for baking. Couldn't decide between scones or flapjacks however my choice was made for me as I don't seem to have a cutter for scones. Boo.

Steak casserole and dumplings
This has to be one of my favourite winter meals. I love how the meat tastes after 3 hours of cooking and dumplings are just gorgeous. I know how bad this kind of food is for you but it tastes so damn good I have to have my fill over the winter. I tend to cook my steak in a mix of red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and beef stock with the obvious mixed herbs and some carrots. Comes out full of flavour.
Steak and home made chips
This was last nights dinner. Brian made the chips and they were gorgeous. He also cooked the steaks to be fair because I was tired and gave up. They were slightly peppered and I slung together a small salad to go with. Again sorry about the quality of the photo, it really doesn't do justice to the chips!
(for some reason it won't post the photo the correct way up)
Croque Monsieur and potato cakes
There's an old tea rooms in York called Betty's and they serve the most amazing croque monsieur so I tried a recipe out of one of the many cookbooks I own in the hope I could recreate that taste. You need lots of Gruyère cheese for this but my god it's amazing, a taste sensation! I served them up with some potato cakes which are quite fiddly to cook but do taste nice. Sorry about the quality of the photo, was taken on my phone.
Chocolate chip oatmeal cookies
I made these the week before last. The recipe I used said to use raisins but I had a bag of chocolate chips left over so I decided to use those instead. I think next time I'll use less oats/flour because the cookies hardened too much for my liking. Anyway here's the porn;

Chicken Tikka Masala
I made a Korma the weekend before last and so last weekend I decided to try a Tikka Masala. It came out pretty well I thought, maybe I could have marinaded the chicken longer but I didn't read the recipe until about 2 hours before dinner so didn't realise it had to be marinaded! My only tweak to this dish would be using plain yogurt instead of double cream last time. The dish was slightly too creamy for my liking but it was delicious none the less. (Yes I did make it from scratch!)

Hello!
So I've decided to create a blog all about food porn. Yes, that's right, food porn. I will post pictures of food I've cooked/baked for you all to drool over. I've got a small collection of photos to upload already so I will try to finish that by tomorrow night!
Happy fapping.
